Commission and payout engine

MLM commission software that calculates bonuses from your written rules

A commission engine for direct selling companies: every bonus rule written down, tested against worked examples, and traceable from an order to a payout.

  • Rules written and tested first
  • Exact decimal money math
  • Every payout traceable

From plan document to working engine

We start with your compensation plan as a document: qualifications, percentages, caps, ranks and timing. We turn each rule into a plain statement and a worked example with real numbers. Those examples become automated tests, so the engine is checked against the plan before anyone is paid.

If the plan document is unclear, we ask questions and write down the answers. Gaps in a plan are far cheaper to find on paper than after a payout run. Your legal reviewer can read the same rule statements we build from.

What the engine calculates

  • Volume and points: personal volume, group volume and carry forward, depending on the plan.
  • Bonuses: fast start, pairing, level, matching, rank and leadership bonuses as your plan defines them.
  • Caps and limits: daily, weekly or monthly ceilings, and flush rules.
  • Adjustments: refunds, returns and chargebacks that reverse the commission they created.

Plan-specific logic is covered on our binary, unilevel, matrix and hybrid plan pages.

Payout runs and the audit trail

Commissions are calculated in runs, for example daily, weekly or monthly. A run produces a preview that an admin can review before it is posted to wallets. Each commission line stores the rule that produced it, the orders and members involved and the plan version in force at the time.

That means support can answer a distributor's question with facts: which order, which rule, which amount. Posted runs are not edited. A correction is a new, linked adjustment, so the history stays honest. Money is handled with exact decimal arithmetic, and posted amounts feed the e-wallet ledger.

Plans change. The engine keeps versions of the rules, so a change starts on a stated date and earlier periods are not recalculated by accident. Plan changes after launch can be handled under a monthly support arrangement.

Testing against worked examples reduces errors, but no one can promise software is free of bugs. The engine implements the plan you document. It does not decide whether the plan is lawful, and it cannot make a plan profitable or promise any distributor's income. Compensation should come from genuine sales of real products, and your lawyer should review the plan. See legal and compliance.

Questions about mlm software agency in United States

How do you test the commission math?

We write worked examples from your plan with real numbers, then turn them into automated tests that run on every change. Before launch we usually also run a trial period using sample data so your team can compare the engine's results with their own spreadsheet.

What happens when an order is refunded?

The commissions created by that order are reversed through linked adjustments, according to the rules you define, such as a refund window. The original postings stay in the history, so reports show both the commission and its reversal rather than a silently changed number.

Can we change the plan after launch?

Yes. Rules are versioned, so a change applies from a stated date. We recommend testing a changed rule against new worked examples first. Changes can be scoped as a one-off job or covered by the monthly support and maintenance option, which is quoted by scope.

Can you import our existing members and history?

Often yes. We import members, sponsor links and balances from a spreadsheet or a database export, and we check the totals with you before switching over. The effort depends on how clean the data is, which we assess during scoping before quoting.

How much does a commission engine cost?

It is part of the package. The standard network package is typically $4,500 to $7,500 over 2 to 3 weeks for one plan, and the enterprise package is typically $9,500 to $18,000 over 4 to 6 weeks. Timelines depend on scope and timely feedback. A written quote follows scoping.
